I think a pretty good thing to add would be an item that permanently raises the minimum torchlight level so you can always see a tiny bit more
Thank you for suggestion, I'm considering adding some sort of brightness slider in future updates.sort of makes sense with the whole 'lack of light is what makes 'mentor' feel he can get away with the hanky panky', but you can also still see them when they're in a different cave area, too, so...
Lowers excitement (EP), raises mana/focus points (FP)
%appdata%/Roaming/Godot/app_userdata/THE PERFECT PAIR shall rise!where is the save file located?
Thank you. I remember I noticed that behavior prior to version 1.2 too, but I thought that I fixed it. I'll take a look.I don't know if this is intended or not, but for me, the boss hits twice every time in the lowest level dungeon. once as a slime and then again as a boss. Because of that it's almost impossible to finish the boss even with full health and stamina.
Thank you! Please excuse my English, you can tell I'm not a native speaker. So I appreciate your explanations for each correction. Almost any game prototype suffers from a lack of text, polishing and/or graphics. Prototypes usually serve as PoC/demonstration of the core gameplay mechanics. In the intro, Aster says "I we weren't on a tight budget, I'd say that you should visit our Blacksmith and check for new arrivals."
If we weren't on a tight budget, and also I think it'd be better not to capitalize Blacksmith. And "our" blacksmith? Seems more natural to say "the" blacksmith.
"new arrivals" also seems strange to me but I'm shrugging it off.
"Let me call for Mentor" probably is a placeholder for an actual name.
"I need to stock up for our today's delving while she's left." Remove "our" and change "left" to "gone"
"Better make sure we have enough Torches." Lowercase torches. "Who knows how darkness of local depths may affect us." Very strange writing. I suppose "Who knows how the darkness may affect us." but it is still a little odd of a thing to say anyway. Foreboding in a way you might not intend. But it does have vibes, I give it that. You might want to keep the vibes.
"And Aster for sure needs a break since she's pretty much learning now." Odd to say "she's pretty much learning now." You might want "she's still learning for now"
I like the new map system in the choosing location portion. A free reroll and the option to pay money to get more information is the makings of something viable.
I like the splitting up that was added, it's good to have a way risk-reward that actually pushes you to the NTR instead of the first-release's lack. Was there any reason to hold back on torches besides cost? Like in Darkest Dungeon you'd get more rewards in the dark but risk more crits on both sides, but instead of getting crit you risk getting cucked. I imagine not and it's just an economy thing. If the stress of low income isn't fun enough though, maybe could give the player more money and have low light have some kind of benefit like DD does. Maybe enemies doing Sneak Attack makes them fail or do very little in high light, but the player can learn a sneak attack that is high damage proportional to low stamina cost and it has a success chance relative to how dark it is. A push-and-pull that also depends on the tactical state of the battle. Though this would call for being able to use items mid-battle which doesn't seem to be an option yet.
At any rate, the gameplay side is clearly evolving and I like it. I think there's not really anything else to sink my teeth into for now? Looking forward to where you take this.
Also appears to still be no new writing, just more H-actions, and I don't really care about the animations until there's more writing around it. But I might just not be aware, feel free to correct me.
Of course! In the future, there will be main goals and side quests, new characters, their stories and interactions. Are there plans for an extensive narrative?
My bad. Consider this a bug. I thought that it's really unlikely to trigger that so I decided not to provide for such an outcome.I'll add to this that the hero is not at all embarrassed that his girlfriend went into the next room and returned without pants, even if the torch burns at 70+.
no sleep right now, only dungeonsHow do I proceed to sleep after conquering a dungeon?
Not yet.is there a status screen in the works?
Prior to that, torchlight requirement for lewds was <=25, then in 1.2 I adjusted it to <=50 at high arousal. So the value became "slightly higher"the change log says " H-actions start at slightly higher (<= 50) Torchlight levels if Aster's excitement exceeds 50", this should be >= 50 if you want to to be 'greater than'.
No sleep, no rest, only dungeons.no sleep right now, only dungeons
You lose nothing upon dying so there's never any reason to reload a save. Just do some runs where you don't buy anything and build up some money to buy potions. Just keep throwing yourself into the meat grinder.I like the concept of this game.
But in practice, I cannot get it to work.
I've seen no scenes, because the dungeons aren't long enough and the Hero isn't strong enough to survive long enough. Reloading a save resets all her 'lust' stats at the bottom, so the cycle repeats. I'm a bit lost on how to enjoy this game at its current state, but I really am hopeful it can be fixed.
Because I love the concept.
