Thank for the detailed answer! It worked with the walkthrough. One thing I'd like to note here: I NEVER had to choose the "promise to protect" option. Any idea why that could happen?
Did you not meet lady Singh? That's all I can think of.

Just looked, that conversation only happens if you did NOT meet with Lord Mateus at the Association event. If you meet with him, you get a different conversation where Oriana apologizes for potentially causing you grief because Emily (your deceased wife) is the one to contact you to help her.

Just finished the game. I must say, dev—you did a great job telling a good story!

I just wish you expanded the plot of the epilogue more, with the MC's children and what not.

I would have liked to see more mystery unraveling about the MC's parents and other aspects of his past, especially his relationship with Emily.

If there’s ever going to be a sequel, I’d really love for his children to play a more active role in the story, and for you to expand the worldbuilding on the magical side of this world.

I have a suspicion that Hannah may be around more if/when we get a sequel. She went off to Africa (if I'm remembering correctly, been a little bit), to look for her sister at the end of the game, hoping that story beat plays into it at some point, or she just comes back and the MC puts a baby in her... whichever.

The sequel is confirmed as the next game when Tribulations of a Mage is done

You might learn of a use for such later if you take the right major branch. And no, it's nobody in particular.
You might notice Tamara later with a metric shitload of the things.

Alright, after getting into Tribulations, I decided to try this. I'm not disappointed, but already missing the music, and wish I could tell what's actually happening at the cabin. Did we shoot that first person? It seems so. Did that person try to do something to us? I can tell what's happening after that, but ... anyway, looking forward to the rest ... also need to find a spooky soundtrack I guess ...

Other paths? Early the main character (MC) Alexander has a choice to talk to two people/organizations for help: The Association, gorgons. If you talk to The Association, later you have choice to talk to three people. A love interest (LI) lady at The Association says don't waste time with 2/3 of them... if you do anyway, you help other ladies, and talk to the person she suggests anyway. Is there any further story with ones she recommends against (other than one you free making a brief appearance later)? Isn't there a similar choice later, where you're suggested to ask/help four people/organizations, but maybe only 1/4 are suggested, or am I confusing this with it's either the gorgons or (four total) The Association plus three others? I didn't play many of the extra choices. One choice I do suggest is meet the rakshashas (despite some eat people) anyway (it's just additional content that won't delete most other content except the other meeting, but not sex scenes).

Been a while since I played this and i'm old my memorry may be foggy but most choices.
Like you sujested are really just flavouring for the main story.
IE the story plays out the same with the MC but the players with him change.
I could be wrong.

As far as I remember, you can end up with every ally if you make the right choices. I didn't find the game until it was complete and played unmodded and ended with both the gorgons and association as allies. I had loads of allies at the end. I don't know if it was definitely every possible ally, but it seemed like it. I don't remember any ally that I didn't take the chance to join with. From what I remember, the only choices that seemed to permanently affect the story are the ones that determine whether a LI joins your harem or not. It isn't that none of the other choices have any impact, but for most choices outside opting in/out of LIs their impact is more short term and affects the order and flavour of events rather than affecting the conclusion.

That's all just my perception of how the choices seemed to play out though. I only did one playthrough and don't remember all the choices very granularly. Iirc, I chose the gorgons early and got a chance at another point in the story to ally with the association, so it could be that not allying with the gorgons at that early point precludes allying with them at all. I'm mostly basing my assumption on the fact that I got a second chance to ally with the association after choosing the gorgons early on. There also seemed to be multiple chances to convince most other potential allies to help you, but that may not be the case for every potential ally.

At least unmodded, I'm pretty certain that the Association (or, rather, the Firey Fangs) and the Gorgons are mutually exclusive.
