VN - Ren'Py - Lineage or Legacy [Ch.4 Act II] [Biting The Bullet]

Wow this was 1 hell of a surprise though it doesn't have a catchy title it more than makes up with everything else.

Seriously the story is really grounded & wholesome infact I'm pretty sure many of us could relate with MC. It also subtly gives advices like putting effort into yourself to become a better version of u & being more confident in oneself

The sex animations are gorgeous especially with each update it only keeps getting better & better.

Though my only gripe would be the Mom's character model as she looks insanely young infact her kids kinda look older than her (especially MC after the change) when they nailed it perfectly with the Dad's model

This game is predictable and simple at its core, yet it takes a redundant theme and shapes it with great craftmanship and we end up with a great piece of work in the end. It is a must play dating-sim at this point.

The overall flow of the game is very spontaneous and down to earth. Don't expect an embellished overarching plot (afaik). The theme is: MC standing on his legs (caterpillar leaving its cocoon) and becoming an adult pussy magnet and getting laid rather fast in the process. In my experience from previous college AVNs, this formula led to an edgelord childish or passive yes-man horsedick MC fucking and cucking left and right. No my friends, in this case it is different: characters and dialogues are worth reading and suited for adults. This novel has a round MC.

I should say I'm hoping the dev will connect all the spontaneous dots laid out in first 4-5 chapters and make the choices made by MC bite him in the ass for some climactic moments.

The game is top notch in audiovisuals department. All the women are bombshells plus male models are not all default scrawny mannequins that we all see in most AVNs. The amount of sexual content is satisfactory but not tantamount to all the hot girls dev throws at us (I'm not complaining about it).

What more should I say it is one of the entries that worth a monetary support and I look forward to the next update.

Pleasantly surprised by this title.

• Great models; don't think I saw a single woman that wasn't attractive (not counting background characters)
• Good writing; seriously, I tend to skip through dialogue in other titles but I didn't feel the need here. I was genuinely enraptured by the writing and renders
• MC is likeable and easy on the eyes
• Most of the sexual encounters make sense; it's not like other titles where all the women want to have sex as soon as you greet them
• There's a lot of potential here seeing how there are quite a few candidates for love interests and there appears to be diverging paths

All in all, a solid 5/5 from me. Looking forward to updates, and hopefully more of the mom and sister characters, they are very attractive and you can tell the dev spent a good amount of time on them.

The game is really well written and the renders are really good (mainly referring to Ch 1's rework).

So far, there hasn't really been any copy and paste characters from other games that I recognize, all character's appearance looks fresh and original - and each of them has a unique and distinct personality as well.

I also like the looks of the main menu screen, the game's "HUD", and the appropriate the use of bold words and parentheses to indicate a difference in manner of speech. Furthermore, there wasn't really any significant spelling or grammar errors up until the end of Ch 3.B so that is a thumbs up.

Really looking forward to future chapters assuming that the quality of the renders and the writing are similar to Ch 1's rework.

I'm going to go with 4/5 not because I feel this is bad or anything but because I feel there is room for improvement.

Solid story for a pron game. Nothing to write home about but by far one of the better ones. I'd put it up there with BeingaDIK. Characters are not cookie cutter and I would say are well built. I could foreseeably see these people in real life (although maybe not the mom but eh... I'll let it pass) Animations are well done although I would say lacking in duration. Sure you can replay them but just my honest opinion.

I do like the "choose your own adventure" aspect of the game, I would say though that it might not be a bad idea to have kind of a "importance" meter or something with certain choices. Like is this going to lock you out of this girl for the rest of the game kind of choice. Other games have like a flash on the screen or something of that caliber will make people understand that this specific decision has consequences.

Excited to see more on this.

Each character's different body description is very impressive. It's a perfect representation of the realistic nature of the body. I'm very satisfied except that the MC looks like Wolverine

Well, the game is pretty mid. There is nothing interesting tbh! Sad, that it seems male characters are the only one that is well written cause most female characters are bunch of sluts while our mc is a virgin lol. The story is all over the place, it good and emotional abit but eh execution sucks. Like fat dude change his life and then meet girls and do segg, then return home blah blah. Pretty boring if you ask me since it get devalue when it seems like all the girls are 304s. Branching is not well implemented and hardly matters. (Like what even is the point? Just make it kinetic novels. Most choices are shallows and it not really what I expected tbh. It another college game hiding behind Legacy. I thought we were going to play as a businessman and make every girls carry our childs lol. Most importantly, MC looks ugly af lol.

I really enjoyed this game. Graphics are very good, the plot is pleasant. The main character is lovable. Choices do matter. Girls are very different but all sexy in a different manner. There is a lot of content and I wish the author good luck in continuing this project.

I must say I loved this game. More than anything, the characters felt real and their relationships with each other felt like proper people. I like that the evolution of the MC takes a realistic time, when he is focusing on his studies, improving himself... etc and that, in the meantime, it seems like everybody else has had a life.

The choices also felt realistic and even though I tend to enjoy those harem games where you can get all the girls, it feels realistic that your choices affect your chances with one or another girl.

I like as well that there are other male characters with their own personalities and lifes, and not just as side kicks or opponents of the MC.

Overall, while the game feels mature and realistic, there is also a good amount of content and of great quality. I must say I really liked the rework of the first episode.

A great game, I am looking forward to seeing more of the story! (really liked the mother and "awwwed" every time she is feeling down, that last scene made me go "damn, I want to see her reaction now!" )

I almost gave this 5 stars, but regardless, this VN is off to a great start. The graphics are good, the writing is strong, the production is solid and the story is engaging. There is nothing earth shattering happening here but that's okay. Plus, all the choices seem to have impacts and that makes it a rare thing in these games.

The only thing I would say I don't like are all the different LIs. I mean, they are all unique and I have enjoyed all the interactions, but inevitably, you end up with a few favorites and when you have to deal with all the girls you would rather not deal with then it becomes frustrating.

The other issue is the MC makes a trip home and plans on being there for a month. I mean I just spent a couple hours getting to know all the girls around campus and suddenly he up and leaves? Seems odd and just exacerbates the the many LI dilemma.

Anyway... an amazing start. I am really excited to see how this game/story progresses.

This is close to a perfect game. It's a very long time ago since i played something this interesting.

Things I don't like about it and where I hope we get some changes are:

The dick. Another horse cock and ladies just throw themselfs at you.
Kamikazebimbos.
It would be more fun and encourage more playthroughs if we got to choose our size.
Some girls would love it, others not. Some would orgasm, others wouldn't. Easier/harder to penetrate/throat Etc etc..

The sex scenes are very static and stiff. No choices.
Give us some choices. Let me ram it in where ever I choose, or to gently tease her . Creampie or not

The stat system. I do understand it. But it ruins the fun when you 30 minutes later realize you should have gotten strenght instead of charisma.
That is infuriating and makes you close the game instead of playing again.

Maybe give us more chances to get more stats. Like let us choose between studying or going to the gym?

Little filler content like that that gives the illusion of more choises and freedom.

A promising start so far. Nice presentation, fun characters, it's own style of renders(especially for sex scenes), decent writing.

Plot is a bit barebones so far(but it does it's job of making you care about mc and his situation . Also, you start seeing mc's attitude divergence based on player choices), but should be good enough if the focus gonna be on the family drama first and foremost , not making it too bloated with all the possible college romance(or plain lays) routes.

I'm interested to see if incest part is gonna be strong in this one, chapter 3 was basically at the starting point of it, but I already like mom character - she's sweet.

I wish this title a bright future

Excellent game with many choices and women, very good sex scenes and decent plot.

Pros:
+ Plethora of women to choose from
+ Great sex scenes
+ Many meaningful choices
+ Each update has significant amount of content
+ There are stats here and sometimes we need combination of them to see a scene (e.g. charisma and strength) which makes the game more replayable
+ There are extra scenes that we can unlock (or just see them in a folder, hopefully this won't change because some requirements to see them are very specific)
+ There is information section that tells newbies all necessary keyboard/mouse shortcuts

Cons:
- Some of the women look peculiar (still hot though, except for Annabelle)
- Some scenes are too short

All in all it's a great game and I'm looking forward to the next update.

Definitely worth supporting and trying out for yourself! In two, maybe three, updates this game will reach the second page of highest rated VNs; I'm calling it now. Lineage or Legacy has a story to tell and damn good mind behind it! An amazing setup, premise, and girls!
The intro is actually enjoyable and not just an exposition dump. The MC isn't even a chick magnet off the bat! It's so refreshing to see the MC not be an actual god before the story even starts. The transition from chump to stud feels earned for him! In that transition, he isn't the only that changes either! Plenty of other characters glow up with him and makes that passage of time feel real. In addition to the great story telling thus far, the dialogue is fun to read and there's a promise that choices will matter. Plus the girls are absolutely diverse and I have a feeling we haven't seen them all yet.
Bonus points for a simple yet effective soundtrack.
All in all, this is one you should try and keep tabs on!

Love the art style! Unique and looks fantastic, which already sets it apart from like 99% of VNs in the reel. The comically large wang is unnecessary IMO, but a little cartoonishness doesn't hurt, I guess.
The writing is also quite good, has got more character to it than most other games. I only have relatively minor gripes, like the romance angle with Savannah played a little prematurely as someone below pointed out. I hope you don't make the path too easy for the MC and keep it compelling. Keep the competitive element in there! Like the group study scene at the library and maybe create a couple of similar situations with another girl? That's just what I'd like tho, I found it engaging. Actually got mad at the passive aggressiveness there.
In the context of other games around, this one deserves 5 stars easily.

Lineage or Legacy

Really enjoyed what's here so far. I will set aside the fact the MC was once 160kg's and then manages to achieve a body that shows absolutely no signs of that what so ever, because it's fiction. But I will say it now, as someone who once weighed close to the same amount of weight as the MC, and lost near the same amount of weight as him...you definitely don't end up being able to get a flawless body after being that obese, no matter how hard you work out...unless you have extremely god tier level genetics I suppose, which the MC could very well have.

This is a fictional VN regardless, so obviously it's not going to be totally accurate to real life, media in general isn't ever really all that accurate when depicting extreme weight loss. I digress...

Pros:
-Good renders
-Likeable MC with nice character development
-Very smooth and fluid animations
-Most of the girls look pretty darn good (June is best girl so far)
-Grammar is good.
-Writing is mostly good.
-Enjoyable story so far.

Cons:
- A bit too many girls are being thrown at the MC in a very small time span. Common problem with many Visual Novels. I have already forgotten most of their names just because so many were introduced so quickly. If the developer adds even more, I won't end up caring for any of them because I wont get the chance to remember any of them if there are too many.

- Savannah. Yeah, I personally don't get why she's practically being forced as what seems to be the main love interest for the MC. I don't see it with her, at all. After a very rushed one night stand, and then another brief shag at the hospital the MC is already declaring his love for her? What love? It's all been lustful acts between them so far, there is no substance there at all. I can see it with someone like June for example, because she's been the only one that has really had meaningful interactions with the MC so far (and she's a total babe)

- Though the game has a romance tag, nothing has really screamed "romance" to me in most of the interactions with the love interests up to this point, but perhaps that will change in the future. It's still early days after all.

Overall, I really enjoyed what's here so far. A few minor changes (in my opinion) and this could easily be a 5 star project.

Absolutely heavenly game! The storyline itself already draws you into the game and it is simple yet riveted you to play and crave more content.

Definitely looking forward for upcoming updates, this game has so much potential and drive that I hope the creator will give us more of this gem!

Nothing to complain about. Dialogue is good with no engrish, plot makes sense, mc isnt creepy and can be timid or confident depending on choices. dialogue options and actions are restricted by stats gained from certain choices and some choices lock some content from you. Renders and graphics look good if not great. Game content as of chapter 2 which I am reviewing lets you have a good enough impression as to what to expect from the dev's execution of his game. The story is still in its early stages so i cant really tell how far the story will go away from the presented normal college life story but there are hints of more dramatic things like a female student blackmailing the teacher and asking the delinquent to do jobs for her and having the mc come from a rich family that he doesnt get along with. Giving it 5 stars to encourage the dev not to abandon the project and to hopefully encourage more ppl to try it out!
