VN - Ren'Py - Leaving DNA [Ep. 4.3a] [Impious Monk]

A story driven VN, lewd scenes will probably come as a support, not as goal.
So far the 'heavy' stuff has been treated in a very discreet manner, which is way better considering the warning given by the dev about what the story encompasses

I'm really impressed with this first release. Well done. Like many of the other comments, I felt like it's setting a really good tone, with believable characters that act professional, good banter and internal monologues, i appreciate your interest in the legal system, and I like the models. I'm definitely a big fan right now of Jamie, but any good story can make me care about just about any character, so I'm excited to see where it goes from here. Great work!

[Demo] Extremely strong start to what looks to be a very promising game!

Leaving DNA is a police procedural with rather heavy themes. MC, an assistant district attorney, is a tortured soul, but not stereotypically so. He is kind, rational, sensible. He even refuses to participate in adultery on moral grounds. How novel!

The story revolves around a mystery surrounding his missing father, and a loosely connected murder. It's intriguing stuff, and I already feel invested.

The writing is superb, with excellent SPaG. The renders are so good for a newbie dev, and a ton of attention has been paid to facial expressions, conveying just the right emotions.

My only complaint is that both Jamie and Aghavni (but especially the latter) have massively oversized breasts for their frames

That's what we have here, so far it is all very interesting and promising

It is just a demo but decent length for a demo. There is good chemistry between John and Jamie which is both funny and sweet. We have yet to really meet the other characters but a small cast with good connection is a big plus in my book.

One of the most impactful openings to a VN on the site. It immediately puts into perspective the tone of the game you are about to play. And the rest is great too. The is still an initial release/demo, so there aren't any choices, but there's way more content than you generally expect. And it is good content.

The MC seems a little bland but the whole premise was interesting and was executed very well. Looking forward to future releases.

Absolutely BRILLIANT debut... Plot, characters, setting and future potential are all on par with some of the top titles of the current avn market..
My Hopes for the future of this title are quite good given the already established content.. if the animations (not just lewd) can deliver as well as the current content in future releases then this looks to be one to watch going forward.. Note to DEV - One writer to another, stay true to your narrative, dont stray away from the fact the mc isnt a super hero and can be in great danger and suffer physical harm.. far to often the mc can be injured or in a situation that is rapidly resolved within a chapter.. or is injured only to shake it off as if it didnt happen.. wounds dont heal like wolverine ability and it would be great to see in a setting based more or 'reality' like this a more realistic mc who isn't treated like a super hero and is very well at risk of real world lasting injury whether it be from beatings or worse..
I will defiantly be following this title for some time and i HIGHLY recommend it to others

Great start, can't wait for more. Visually great, characters have depth and flaws, interesting story so far and am exited to see where the dev take us.

Plus there's a smoking hot redhead so I'm all in already.

Pretty good demo so far a huge plus for me is the MC is actually a decent looking dude. He doesnt look 12 or 80 one of my biggest pet peeves with game creators is they make the MC ugly as hell or make it look like hes a little kid or a old man. Renders look pretty good story is off to a good start.

So its just a short demo for now, a piece of part 1. However from what it offers, I can already tell its going to be a great game. The models are good and new, not rehashed designed you see in every other game. Everyone is unique. The story so far is really strong, the settings are unique, the world looks/feels active. Plot is engaging, dialogue flow really well, the conversations and back and forth banter between characters isnt boring and makes them feel alive. Its really well written.

Anyway this is all based on the demo. Subject to change of course. But so far its great. Really looking forward to it.

I've played the Demo and must say, really good work. The Models of the Girls are most beauties and the Model of the MC is really sympathically and I can full identify with him. This is a point which is very important for me in a VN.

The story is interesting. The characters aren't one dimensional flakes.
Good plot sets the stage for future updates. The characters are engaging and well thought out. They have unique personalities.
I recommend some fine tuning on the grammar, but it's not distracting from the story telling.
The female detectives body looked weird in one scene. Not distracting at all. Just my opinion.
Hopefully the dev(s) don't get bogged down with the creation and we actually get regular updates.
All in all I highly recommend giving this demo a go. There are no sex scenes at all, but it's ok because the stage is being set with the story and some dynamics between characters.

As someone else said ...An adult game on an Adult Board for Adults.... This one has the potential to show up at someplace like GameStop for mass commercial retail (Maybe in a few years.).

Renders are pretty darn good. One minor thing I've noticed is that the lighting seems to be a little harsh in some of the outdoor scenes where a character is sweating. This makes the Caracter look almost as plastic as a Ken or Barbie Doll.

The Sean Connery posters in the DA's office are a nice touch. So many times, all that is in a render is maybe a desk, chair, trashcan and window (For an office). This is done because adding extras for decoration makes an image longer to render and also burns more cpu power. Nice to see something a bit more professional.

I can't comment on gameplay, right now it is mostly dialogue. I think there will be 4 different semi-exclusive paths you can take and if so, I plan on having 4 distinct installs. I don't want to miss a thing. (Cue Aerosmith.)

This is definitely 1 to keep an eye on. Keeper. 9.25 out of 10.
