It's been edited, and I have a few volunteers on my discord that have helped a ton with the story, dialogue, etc. I know it's not for everybody. Thanks for trying.

Yep, I read about 50-100 books a year myself. I've even written a half dozen or so. Obviously, not under Big Chungus There's even a few audio books out there based on my works.

That's why examples would be smashing to help sort the issues out, since it's not like I'm completely clueless - just mostly.

I only realized today that the preview images are all for the previous edition of the game for this discussion; I'll try to get those swapped out for images from the remake sooner than later, since if you're not playing the original (who would at this point? I don't know man), it's misleading, since there's only one of those images in the remake, the rest don't exist and aren't a good representation of the visuals in the remake.

about expanding the character profile pages with some extra fields, including likes, dislikes, and biography.

If ya'll think of other enhancements or aspects that could be improved, I'm always open to considering other stuff. The preferences page improvements are in the 1.85 edition with four fonts (up from only the default before) text size, borders, and more.

Turn up the drunk dial, and the "lip bite," dial, and then boom. At least, I think she was drunk in this render (I might have been too, since when I made the original game, I was still drinking regularly).

Like the main character toward the end of the remake, I'm also sober these days. Hopefully the newer content is also still fun!

Officially? I've never made one. Unofficially? There might be a mod somebody posted in the discussions that does the trick, I'm not sure. Once the remake is finished, I might consider something like that if there's enough interest as a DLC.

If you haven't played before, skip the original, and start with the remake 1.8 - it's almost as long story wise as the previous edition of the game, and it's got more static images already, almost 5x the number of audio files (music & sound effects), though not as many animations.

Edited to add:
The 1.8 has only a few hundred (like 200 - 300, as of this edition) images that were in the original out of the 4,000+ that are in the remake. So most of the images are brand new, some are remade / improved versions of the original, some correspond to scenes that weren't in the original. Animation wise, only 1 scene from the original is in the remake, and once finished, less than 35% of the 400+ animations in the original will be in the remake. From that perspective, if you really enjoy those aspects (images, animations) it might be worth playing both versions.

I'm biased, since I made the game, but I think with the remake being finished in just a few months from now, the story is a lot better in the remake, and the only reason to play the original at this point is if you like the animations in that version.

Which version is on steam? I wishlisted it before coming here to try it for a bit.

if the remake is not completed then the original version has the ending as another reason to play it? will the ending of the remake be different? might have to play both if it's the case.

The completed game is on Steam, and the remake is there too, through version 1.85 but you need to select the right depot on Steam to download the remake - by default, the version on Steam you'll download is the existing completed game.

I second this, as a critic of the first version of the game, this one feels much more smoothed out. The remake should, at this point, be the only way to play this game.

Thanks for your additional opinion on this matter. I appreciate it as I'll try to decide which to go with first might do the remake first to get the best impression of the game, and then try the first version to get the endings while waiting for the remake to get completed.

I just realized you're also the dev for Spark of Joy that I saw on the Steam Next Fest. I recognized the speech bubble in that game and in the short game in your list. And spark of joy doesn't appear on your developer page on steam, you might want to fix that. especially if that short game is supposed to be a kind of prequel to spark of joy

Technically, that game is made by my partner, I'm only the editor on that title -> there's no way I'd have time for all the things if it was just me.

you're right! I thought it would appear in the main tab now that it was in Next Fest.
