What if the locked door turns out to be another wet fart of a cliffhanger? "Oh no, you guys discovered my beanie babies collection!"
Everybody knows it's not going to be a sex dungeon, or a dead body, or some psycho killer room.

It's going to be something deeply emotional and traumatic to Bella and related to the reason why James left, but it's not going to be anything OTT.

I mean... I wouldn't mind a sex dungeon :sneaky:
But even if it's purely innocent—aka not stupid—it still has to make Maya stop in her tracks while her brother is bleeding to death (exaggerating of course) from his missing finger, make MC's heart beat real loud, and have Bella look shocked that they opened the door.

I agree, this is way more likely, though it's funny to contemplate absurd options. Like Bella helping train a group of circus clowns to all fit in a tiny car by stuffing 30 of them in that tiny room.

A child's room would do that.
Yes and no. Yes, that I agree that's probably what it is, and it would initially surprise Maya after stumbling onto it. But no, that it doesn't really justify the reaction Maya and MC have (except a Bella!MC). Bella's reaction, yes. That's why some people take it a step farther and say it's more of a shrine.

I think a child's room would totally justify their reactions. Imagine Maya opening the door to see a small child's bed, boxes and sheves of toys, walls decorated with child-friendly motifs, etc. That would be pretty shocking considering they've never seen her with a child or known she had one.

The lost son theory was the better one, but that was before James' fate was however superficially, addressed. Starting from the fact that James is away because he is stuck/disappeared somewhere, what is the point of adding drama in the past? Even if it was why he left, it is more important why he did not return.

I think we can assume he's not returning, and if it turns out he left because he couldn't handle the loss of their child, maybe we'll just be left to assume he's dead, either by deliberate suicide or accidental death and his body is missing.

It would completely diminish the drama of Bella's confession, unless it turns out to have been a half-truth like the one about school regulations. If what Bella told us is true, and I hope it is, the point is to find out James' fate. Any earlier drama would only be an addition. Until it was conceivable that James was simply gone, the lost son was the perfect solution, now much less so

She entered the room and shot him a glance... she was literally calling him inside. And if she really didn't want to start it, she would have made him leave. That's just her trying to remain prim and proper out of practice, since she is still not used to being sexual.
Pleeeeease, don't tell you really think she is NOT wanting to do him here. She literally give him the 'fuck me eyes' before entering, that is basically she telling him to ravage her.

It's Jill we are talking about, she is not as vocal with what she wants like other characters and the MC got used to reading her body and her actions. Plus he is way less pushy with this types of things with Jill than other characters, he would be jumping Sage and Bella as soon as they gave him the same look since he knew what it meant for example. Which is why he tested the waters before jumping to it.

And that's the problem with you people, it's not me giving her more credit than she is due, it's you guys giving her NO credit at all. I've had a similar discussion during episode 10 with someone because I said Jill instigated Trent to talk about Tybalt and that person was adamant that she was just making small talk and discovered it on acident.
She have this malice, she is still bad at flirting, but she still try to flirt with the MC and sure as heck, she was feeling good about herself after trying the new clothes and seeing that resembled her sister and was feeling adventurous so she "invited" the MC in... was she wanting sex? I don't know, maybe she just wanted to make out, but she sure as heck was also feeling horny since she didn't resist it either which means the thought crossed her mind and she was quickly to dismiss it.
The debate was if she initiated it. Whether or not she wanted to fuck is irrelevant. MC initiated it, and Jill was legit shocked when he did so. Yes, she went along with it once MC did so, but to say that she didn't initiate it doesn't deny or ignore Jill's development; it's just stating facts.

I'm more in favour of a conspiracy theory tracking room. String and photos everywhere kind of deal. James was trying to make sense of corruption and disappeared when he got too close to the truth. What Bella doesn't realise is that B&R is involved in this corruption and that they hired her so they could get to whatever evidence James might have at the house.
