Fucking crybabies causing the game to be tamed down God damn.
Don't create strawmen. No one complained. Saxo just made a change to fit what they had in mind. Quote from 11.A release post:

"I have also tweaked and altered the writing a little for the build up and beginning of the H-Scene and added a follow up conversation at the end to better convey what I wanted to show with the scene with Karman changing Amelia's expression in the H-Scene art to better fit what we wanted to go for too!"

He was being rapey, that's all. Anyone crying about it should go check whether the game has a rape tag or not, no it does not have one and should not have any element like that near it. Glad dev made the change. In fact, she became comfortable only after the husband arrived, so clearly was being forced. The guy was just like a rapist who cannot stand sexy woman, but got something because the woman happend to be Amelia.

That´s just not true man... You didnt get the scene at all. Even with the dev telling you what was happening you still dont understand.

The intent just wasn't clearly showing in the text. This is part of how art works. You're aiming for one thing, but make misteps, and only see some issues after you've had some distance from it, or hear input from others. Iteration is completely normal. Normally you'd heavily iterate a story multiple times before releasing it to the public, but we normally don't see that because we only tend to see the final product. Here the story is being written and released in small chunks, so we get to see these artifacts. If anything, people should be encouraging them to do this more, and not be afraid to revisit and rewrite parts of the story in order to make it better.

If the dev wants to change, that is his choice, but we shouldn't be encouraging it. The reality is that people are different, and no matter what, some scene, kink, dialogue, whatever will not be to their liking, if the dev were to change everytime a controversy arose, then the game would lose its way and its soul, it wouldn't be "Vulgar Reverie by Saxxonado" anymore, but a game "designed by committee" which is simply awful, since there would be no coherent vision, pacing, and tone anymore. I'm not saying that the latest change means Saxxy will follow this path. But we SHOULD NOT encourage it.

I'm not saying he should change things based on controversy or the whims of others, but based on trying to make the best work he can given what he's aiming for. Take in feedback, evaluate your work after some time, and then see if there's ways you can improve it. It's iteration.

Given the patreon model, there is an inherent pull toward not wanting to change things, because people get attached to the first version of a thing they saw, and are generally averse to change. With this tiny tweak we already saw some people lashing out. I'm saying that despite that, it's a healthy thing to do, and we should encourage him to not be afraid to tweak things, big or small, if the goal is to make the best game he can. And also we shouldn't be afraid to voice our feedback. That's how good art is made.

What an awful take!!!! It is a NTS, not a game with a tag of rape. Nothing will change that. Calm down, she was flustered when that idiot rapist assaulted her.

I don't think anyone is encouraging it and I've yet to see evidence. I've been subscribed to his Patreon since v0.4 (nearly a year back) and with every update, there were only words of encouragement to keep doing what he's doing if you looked at the comments on his posts. This idea that fans are causing the change I think is being picked out of thin air, and I'll disregard this idea that Saxo is making changes due to peer pressure until I see it with my own eyes. On top of that, Saxo has made it clear before that he will listen to his community to a certain extent but in the end he won't sacrifice the relationship between Leon/MC and Ammie.

Gents I think we have been heard

everyone, happy Friday!

Karman and I are hard at work on V0.12 at the moment, but we're also currently working on better planning and organization for upcoming versions and improving our work flow to avoid burnout!

As a part of this, we're discussing when to release each new version and when to announce actual dates of release on months where we are particularly busy with irl jobs and responsibilities, cause we want to avoid disappointing you all with missing deadlines and overworking ourselves by staying up til around 4am on a work night to get art and coding done!

Being able to release new versions with the quality you all deserve is always our number one goal, and we want to be able to continuously deliver this with no compromise!

We'll let you all know next week what we come up with!

Thank you for being the best supporters, we value each and every one of you. Enjoy the rest of your weekends
