Whenever there's a game that has a bunch of branching paths like this I always wonder what the creator's vision is for our playing experience. I understand it's up to the player but I always suspect there's an underlying vision that's inspiring the decisions and choices a dev makes.

More specifically, I wonder whether the creator is anticipating a single playthrough that's fully customized by the choices the player makes (recognizing that a lot of the content won't be used in a given playthrough) or if there's more of an expectation that players will be trying different playthroughs to experience more of the content/variations.

The reason I ask is because I have two conflicting tendencies when it comes to games: I'm a collector/completionist while also having very little patience for previously seen content. I can't justify experiencing much of the same narrative just for a little bit of unseen content and minor scene variations. I noticed after the first chapter that I had seen like half the renders of that chapter and that felt like a lot of the dev's work went unused in my experience.

I've been playing it straight and just making whatever choices I want all the time without much thought put into the consequences or what I might be missing out on and I've enjoyed playing it that way but it still feels like I'm not necessarily getting the full experience.

Was this game built for customized one-run playthroughs or for replayability?

Team Geneva all the way!
Gallery unlocker is your best friend. Fuck trying to figure out why you missed a scene with some slut that you were hitting on but you weren’t in the right location at the right time or you didn’t give her the perfect answer to get her to drop her panties, now you can see it all without having to play the game from scratch

As I already said I like this game but there are some empty frames in each repeating animations that need to be fixed

I don't know if it's a mistake or intentional ...

As an example - 2 frames are black

I'll try not to take too much of your time today. Judging by some of your profile pictures, I suspect you may be busy elsewhere. :)
I've been putting in extra effort as I'm getting closer to the inevitable animation bottleneck, so I got quite a few renders done. 189 story renders and 610 animated frames were the result this week.
Lin and Geneva have been the two major focus points this week, but I also ran into both Lars and Synne along the way. Nyah, Celeste, and Samantha are up next, and these girls' routes will take quite some time to complete - for obvious reasons. Yes, you will get your threesome.
I also had some fun experimenting with the 'toon' shader in Daz, but I'll keep the result of that experimentation as a surprise for the release.
Enjoy your weekend, and stay safe out there.

As we're getting close to our little undercover mission with Samantha and Celeste, we'll obviously have some fun, too. And by that, I mean a whole lot of fun.
Or, to echo Sam, let's go wild.

Now that I've gotten into the animations with Celeste, as suspected, she renders very slowly compared to everyone else. Which is reflected in the numbers this week. 78 renders and 642 frames of animation were rendered. This is due to her hair. And just to give an example - an animation with anyone else can have a savefile of 8MB, whereas Celeste is around 500MB.
I'm not too worried though, as it's still a long way to go, and we don't need her hair for all the shots of course (closeups etc), and I can put in extra hardware if the queue gets too big. But the hair has very good dynamics, and having the hair react to gravity in the animations really makes her shine.
In total, I'm at 1,447 story renders and 10,333 frames of animation, which puts me close to the halfway mark of the completed episode.
Have a wild weekend, and stay safe out there.

its hard to root for a try hard uninteresting mc, he have no character. i would take leap of faith chris as a mc over this dud
We know all of, what, 3 events in the MC's life? Characters take time to develop, and unlike LoF, we've been heavily frontloaded. We literally know less about him than we do all of the potential LI's. At this point, what you're seeing in the MC is quite literally your own reflection.

MC trusted the only person left in his life and that person tried to kill him. MC's mother is MIA and may or may not be dead. First scene seems to take place with someone in a position of authority in the lab they're going to go check out. Then there's the question of what was being done to the MC and what its inevitable involvement w/ the lab and drugs will be. Meaning our MC is quite literally just a giant fucking question mark. That's why I said what you're seeing in the MC is yourself. You don't know shit about the MC, so saying he has no character and is uninteresting is quite literally the definition of projection.

On the flip side of that, yeah, dudes dad tried to kill him. He stole his moms yacht, ran away, sunk the yacht, did a small bit of crypto trading, and some how knew about an island that people fled to so they can disappear and hide from everyone. He's still recovering from what his father had done to him, and yet he's still throwing himself at some massive criminal drug syndicate w/o any motivation. We get hints from the MC's bff that he cares deeply and at one point would go to the ends of the Earth to protect those he cared for. And we also get hints that he changed as well as hints as to why, but not why he may be changing back.

Go watch Solo Leveling or something. Drifty writes complex characters that each have their own strengths and weaknesses. You're not going to find a MC who walks around cock slapping everyone and you knew that coming in, if you played LoF as you say. You'd think you'd understand that more than doubling the size of the cast would mean that it's going to take a fair bit longer for all of these characters to get as fleshed out as it took him in his prior game.
