Yup, the conception system is still pretty new so those issues could happen. I believe I got it fixed in the 0.2.4 as, after some changes there were no more reports of the bug during tests.
Now this is an update that appeals to me, more fleshed out pregnancy system? More pregnancy mechanics? Hell yeah, buffs and debuffs for being pregnant is HOT
Yup, there should be another variant of Wegild's sprite for Early pregnancy, it will come someday when I have enough time to draw em (that's really over 100 frames, not counting the sex animations)
Whenever I try to go back to 'camp', I get stuck on a loading screen? I also start somewhere off screen when I load in, and it gets fixed after hitting the 'stuck' option in the menu, but I can't seem to be able to go back to camp yeah, that save is in the spider cave so maybe that has something to do with it and the latest update
How do the preg mechanics work anyway? Defeat seems to be invariably a guranteed pregnancy and you skip over the growing parts- respawn at camp ready to pop.
The pregnancy mechanics come into play from the non-defeat sex mechanics, mostly from the rape mechanics but I think there's some consensual stuff as well further in. When you're low on health or have your stamina run out, some creatures attempt to rape instead. If you don't break free they creampie you which may lead to impregnation.

I love seeing indie developers succeed and build a community around their games. I tried this game today and found it to be really engaging, with a lot of promise. Unfortunately, I can't support this game because of the censorship you've added. I understand that outside pressure from those scummy processors was the main factor in your decision, but even so. If you ever decide to change you mind or discern a way for would-be fans to pay you directly so we can get those sweet sweet birth scenes, then I'll be more than happy to help support your game.
Is there no scene with the regular spider yet? If you get stunned and let them win there is no exit except to close the game. Also continuing on boot up puts you outside of the stage map. Otherwise, really cool game and looking forward to what comes next.
