Hahahah. I agree with you completely. Males need to be hideously gross. Females need to be extremely beautiful. That's the way the game was first marketed as. It should stay that way. Now males look plain and boring. Females look a little better tho. (Sometimes)

The closest equivalent to CotV I can think of is the Henteria Chronicles series. Three games, two finished with a third a little over half done. They're solid. HC1 is the weakest of the three serving more as a proof of concept with HC2 being much better and the first chunk of HC3 being way better. I do give the warning that they are pixel based so there's no little to no CG in them, with only the first attempting more detailed imagery with awful results. They focus heavily on corruption and are among the inspirations for CotV. With that said their creator is not the most creative writer in the world so they do have a tendency to tread water and occasionally veer into events that are extremely hard to take seriously even within the confines of the setting. I dropped my sub to N_Taii's patreon a couple updates back because I was finding the updates to feel smaller and smaller with scenes that were getting less and less interesting.

I was holding for more updates, but ended up deciding to give this game a try...
It's really amazing so far! I'll leave a review after one or two more updates, but I can say it's probably going to be the 2nd game I ever give a 5/5 score if it keeps this quality!
(Even though it's not perfect. Like... I would at least give a slightly more human look to Enlai. The poor guy is almost a zombie with that hair. lol)

CotV could be improved in many ways, but making Enlai look more like a person is not one of them.

Yeah, and I stand by that. Enlai and Dukal are disgusting to look at. So much so that it's impossible to fathom any female ever being attracted to them. I still 100% believe this. However we're far enough into the game that there's no going back, they're horrifically ugly or nothing.

Don't you guys get that That's the whole point? Making them extremely ugly so it's imposible for a girl to ever be attracted to them? No sane person would ever look at them and find them attractive. But that's what makes it so much hotter. How can such pretty and sexy girls even think about having sex with them. But that's the whole POINT. the girls are getting so damn horny and those guys are the only ones that make them that way. Also, they are not attracted to them. They are attracted to how they make them feel. They are attracted to their dicks. The girls always make it clear that they find them disgusting. But they still continue. That's what makes it hot and the NTR more impactful.
Also if you learn more about females this is true. Females always choose a man not because of the looks, that's what we males do. They chose a guy because how they make them feel.
I fully understand that it's using the ugly bastard trope, however in much of Enlai's artwork he looks like a smudge that is vaguely shaped like a person. Enlai and Dukal are so ugly that they're not in the same art style as the rest of the game, especially Enlai. They're the ugly bastard taken to too far.
