News from discord :

- peggy1303 : "We have finally relaunched the pages for SI !
These can now be found at:

We will be posting weekly progress reports on Patreon and Subscribestar and some other benefits which you can see on the pages themselves. We will be working extremely hard to make sure the content stays at the same level of quality that you expect, but hopefully we can exceed that expectation too."

"A New Beginning

February 20

Stray Incubus is officially back! Myself (Peggy) and Ischwit will be working hard to bring the same level of quality you all expect. With these changes, we will be moving forward with Season 2 Chapter 3! We also plan on looking back and potentially reworking some of the older scenes from Season 1. We hope that you all keep enjoying the game. More to be announced RE Chapter 3 soon."

The first official devlog (behind a paywall) for Season 2, Chapter 3 of Stray Incubus was released today.

We finally got the new official accounts for the game. You'll also notice the name change in development to "IP Studios". It seems like things are slowly getting underway, so we'll have to see what they’ll come up with.
really happy for this game❣

Bold to ask for money before it's been shown that they can deliver.

One of the devs, peggy1303, mentioned that they’re considering making the first update free. Nothing is confirmed yet, but it’s something they're thinking about. This came up in response to a user's question on Discord.

Personally, I prefer not to judge too quickly. It seems normal to me that he and his colleague are encouraging people to fund the game to help get the project on track. I imagine they've had to cover a lot of costs themselves—like software, assets, models, hardware, and so on—just to get SI’s development going. I don’t think everything in this field is free.

It’s clear that something like this was probably inevitable, whether now or later, so it doesn’t change much in my view. But of course, everyone has their own opinion. No one is obligated to support them financially. Those who are more cautious can always wait for the first release to judge the game’s quality or look for a future leak or share here.

I’ve included below the reference to peggy1303’s message and the original question posted by a Discord user for some context.

@ peggy1303 " is the first update initially going to be locked behind patreon? I feel like it should definitely start public so people can get an idea of quality before having to pay anything like a 0.1 I guess "

" it's something we are thinking about and we will announce closer to the time of release, but nothing set in stone yet but we will let you all know when we make a decision "

I recommend checking out Peggy1303's messages in the "general" channel on Discord if you're interested. He share some useful info, like what Flynn was somewhat planning for his update, behind-the-scenes details, and ideas he and his colleague would like to see in the game.

It sounds like they basically bought someone else's practice so they wouldn't have to build up a brand new one from scratch. If they don't flub the next couple of chapters they will be ahead of the curve. They could burn up any good will pretty quickly if they make a misstep now.

I can see how you might think that, but I'm not sure it was part of their plan from the start. Right now, I'm more focused on what happens with the game and how things will turn out. But you're right—the next steps will likely be key in deciding if this project is worth it. They probably know that fans of the original game are watching closely, and disappointing them could be risky.

For now, I'm not really suspicious. There’s nothing so far to make me feel that way. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt, especially since they’re probably new to this, and with Flynn gone, this is pretty much the last chance to save the game—or at least a version of it.

Take a look at AsTc3r’s post, one of the moderators from the SI Discord. He shows screenshots of chats with Flynn, where Flynn mentions leaving behind a lot of things for the moderators before he left. From this, we can assume that the moderators handed over whatever they had to the new developers.

I'm early in the game and I'm presented with an option. I can either choose to sleep in the ninja village or go home. Which option do you suggest I choose here. ( I would appreciate it if you try not to give spoilers. )

I don’t quite remember that part; it’s been a while since I last played the game, especially the beginning. From what I recall, the choice here doesn’t matter much. It might skip or change a scene, but I’m not sure. You could check with the walkthrough mod or save before and try both options yourself. Either way, I don’t think it has any major consequences. It’s up to you to decide what works best.

I’m also not sure why you think the game has become “loli heavy”. Sure, there are some characters with a more young look, but it’s fairly moderate and within the site’s guidelines. Moreover, the game doesn’t even have a “loli” tag in the OP, so unless something’s changed, this debate seems a bit off-topic.
I am currently on the Mirror/ Mirror chapter and noticed the distinctive visual character changes.
A couple looked super young to begin with like Candy and Torr, but now they look 5 years younger.
Not just those, but Gabrielle looked like an early 20s adult, now she has the same body type but her face also looks or is trying to look mighty young.
Is the Loli appearance a choice that fans voted on or something?
Its just confusing being immersed in the story, to have a shock the next chapter.
I just noticed that this is abandoned, does anyone have a factual reason why:?

Given I've not played this for a few updates (although I did support it very early on, and can be found commenting on changes and indeed encouraged Flynn in DMs and so on) because I played the earliest versions of the game, I was referencing that post.

Very simply: Dev interacts with Discord > Feedback is loli+++ > models change > Dev leaves > same people take over assets > logical assumption is that they will add more of what they prefer > Game is now Loli.

Very simple. I'd appreciate it if anyone does play through a new release to post here if the tags need updating to include the "loli" one. When I last played it was borderline but not past the risk line. That's all we ask.

If you go home, you get a H scene with the older black haired woman you first meet - if you stay in the village you get (this is from memory, very rough) an extended training scene (I think?). They don't overall change the story.

The design is a bit weird, especially in some of the earlier chapters - you can miss certain H scenes, and certain H scenes have much better versions if you unlock the options in specific orders etc. I'd suggest a walkthrough mod if there is one.

So, you were referring to the post from 7empest5teele, I see. I understand where you're coming from, but I think you're overgeneralizing how devs interact with their Discord communities. Sharing this kind of content seems to go against Discord’s ToS, and F95 bans it too, especially when it’s explicit. Some other AVNs on F95 have found ways to bypass these rules, which is unfortunate, but it happens.

I’m in a lot of Discord servers, and although I don’t participate much, most of them—especially those focused on AVNs—don’t allow this type of content. Sure, some servers might bend the rules or push the boundaries with hentai or similar content, but I’m not too up-to-date on that.

As for Stray Incubus, I haven’t seen any discussions about this topic in their server recently, and the new devs haven’t brought it up either. I did come across some info on Discord where one dev was considering adding certain content, but it’s unrelated to what you had previously mentioned and is just a few ideas for now, I guess.

I agree that some character designs in the game could be seen as risky, but it’s nowhere near the most explicit thing out there. For now, everything’s still up in the air, and we’ll have to wait and see what the devs decide to do with it. Honestly, I think you're making it sound worse than it is. Not all devs are as open to the more questionable desires some people might have.

I'll share what I’ve come across regarding the things currently being considered on this topic (game content). This is mainly from what I’ve seen in the general discussion channel on Discord, so it should give you a good idea of where the discussions are at and what peggy1303 (one of the two devs) is considering right now:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

If you want to find out directly, it's really simple. Just search for one of the two devs, peggy1303 here (the more active one of the two on Discord), and check out their posts to get access to relevant info. Just a reminder, the devs are under the usernames peggy1303 and ischwhit.

I also think I’ve seen the other dev, ischwhit, mention trap and futanari content somewhere in the general channel, which should be avoidable in principle. That’s about all I’ve come across, if I remember correctly.

For the record, ischwhit himself mentioned that he doesn't particularly enjoy this kind of content but is willing to include it to respect the wishes of certain fans. It seems these elements were part of the game Flynn was planning, as we had already seen in-game regarding the trap content.

There is a "loli" tag on F95 Forums and F95 Zone certainly doesn't ban "loli" due to the fact that different countries have different Laws regarding it (e.g. Brazil, Japan, USA with major conditionals etc). I can easily point out more than a few titles that actively use it: it exists, I'm not interested, but The Law is almost entirely a subjective entity based on your societal and geographical location, so, not that bothered if it is hosted here (with major exceptions, oc - mix it with the tag "real porn" and see what happens).

What is common is Devs refusing to use the tag to skirt rules (for various reasons, e.g losing Patreon status) when the entire point of F95 Zone is consensual tagging (or: if you want to see scat, rape, torture etc, tag that shit, literally).

Pulling a legally enforcable "Trap Card" that you will do time for, retroactively because you're all a bunch of muppets in Discord is a very real thing, and not something that this rather wholesome and genuinely quality game deserves.

Last time I was active here, I was warning people to stay the fuck away from using AI to gen quasi-Loli content that might trip alarms; want to know why? Because you end up going to prison for it sometimes. And I'm well aware that people (who run the Legal system) are fucking dumb enough to rule R34 stills of the Simpsons as CSM:

~

TL;DR

I will be *pissed* if they do this. On the level of "Mistake Not My Current State Of Joshing Gentle Peevishness For The Awesome And Terrible Majesty Of The Towering Seas Of Ire That Are Themselves The Mere Milquetoast Shallows Fringing My Vast Oceans Of Wrath."

So, consider this fair warning, since the average Discord user has the self-awareness and maturity of a small cucumber.

Adult lecture over, we can all go back to wanking now.

Apologies, I got a bit mixed up when writing to you (I use a translation tool), and the specific idea I wanted to convey got lost in translation. In fact, F95 doesn't fully ban everything related to the "loli" tag and its associated content. The distinction is more nuanced. The site condemns any erotic or sexualized depiction of individuals/or characters below a certain age with some exceptions and nuances, as outlined in Rule #7 of the general rules :

7. Content (a game, image, video, story, animation, etc.) depicting nudity, sexualization or sexual/erotic activity involving prepubescent character(s) is prohibited. A "prepubescent character" is one that visually shows no sign of puberty, or if non-visual is otherwise clearly intended to represent a prepubescent character. 2D and 'unrealistic' depictions are generally looked upon more favorably. As this involves some discretion, if you are unsure ask a Staff Member.

1. This includes translations, bug fixes, etc for banned content.

Of course, this rule isn’t perfect, and some games do come close to crossing the line. But this isn’t the place for that debate—at least not in this thread. So, let’s wrap this up. While I share your general perspective, it's not for us to define the site’s policy on sensitive matters—that’s the staff’s responsibility.

And while this is definitely an interesting topic, as you pointed out, it's a complicated one. Laws differ widely from country to country, and regulations around protecting minors and punishing related crimes vary significantly.

Let’s get back to the main subject here—the game Stray Incubus. This conversation has veered off course, so it’s best to focus on the usual topics here and avoid anything too controversial. If you're still interested, you can bring up these kinds of discussions in "General Discussions/Off-Topic" by starting a thread there.

OK the last few pages of thread are confusing. So it looks like this has been revived is it worth actually playing as I see contradictory information. Is it worth playing? Is it paywall locked?

Dude it's a 100% worth playing even if it was still abandoned. Tho it would be very frustrating never knowing the end of the story

Worth playing all the way, anytime. If it is confusing, let me confirm. Two people known from Stray Incubus' discord (peggy1303 and Ischwhit) have officially taken over the project to continue development and received all relevant assets from Flynn for that purpose. New Patreon is already up and work on the next chapter has commenced according to this post. What the future brings and how it turns out in the end I obviously cannot say, but all hope is not lost. Have fun playing (y)

Edit:
This may also help clear things up.
Hello Everyone Fans of Stray Incubus,
i am happy to announce the successors to Flynn for the development of Stray Incubus, peggy1303 and Ischwhit
I know many will fear, that it'll be not the SI you all know, but it's inevitable that things will change. However they are given everything Flynn has left us with, so they can continue the story roughly like Flynn envisioned it to their best capabilities.
I wish for everyone to be patient and looking forward what is ahead of us. Updates on the release of a new chapter will follow.

Additional for F95:
There is no more reason to specualte for you why Flynn has left us. The reasons are valid and be glad he is not a milker as other devs turned out to be. In fact he worked for the new chapter 3 even till the announcemt and the hard cut was less painfull for him eventho it still was, since he had to give up on his own project he loved and cared for.

Just a suggestion, I think they need to make their tier list simpler and wait times shorter. Right now the 10 dollar tier has to wait 20 days for an update. This was also an issue that people brought up before. Anyway good luck with the game, cheers.

Ps: Also consider changing the patreon header image to something more impactful and current. That image is overstretched and dated. The renders got much better than that.

Thank you for passing on the info about Stray Incubus new start. (y)

It's a bit exhausting having to repeat the news to everyone who drops by this thread. Don’t forget that the search function exists too. It’d be great if the discussions here could go a bit less in circles. ^^'
