that tag usually gets applied when the project sees no attention ( at least publicly ), don't know if it has to be done manually or automatically. however I
did some snoopin and found two clips of her talking about how the size, girth if you would, of the update is quite substantial thus taking time.

so there is hope that we'll see an update in the next 1 ~ 300 months, but who knows maybe she's stalling maybe not, i see no reason to worry unless you have put money in her pocket for this project.

Wouldn't worry about the game's status, AFAIK they were redoing some of the code from a previous post so they could add things more quickly.
The early builds were a 'test' concept build for the game and it was said as such.The overall response has been pretty solid from what I've seen.
Also as a sidenote, the dev is living in 'almost squalor', not a place I'd want to be. House falling apart and all that.

Wait, this got abandoned? What? When? And why? I've been waiting for an update for ever, so this is the worst news possible.

Like I said, she stated the first versions were concepts that she could experiment with. In the game itself Nat mentions several times that code 'will' change over time and things be improved, a lot of stuff is placeholder, etc. I *believe* she said also that when the next version hits, you wouldn't recognize the base game during the elevator to the fights, I don't remember if she mentioned another person for the actual coding portion. Of course I could be misremembering that section.
You can clearly tell that the bare bones was implemented so a concept could be put out to get people's eyes on it and see if there was a demand. Clearly, there is, so expect them to work on it whenever she moves or is done with the other project, whichever comes last.
Also, from what I can tell, there's a really strong sentiment of approval from the F95 community that this game is unique and 'good', so I hope that when the time comes and she's remaking the game, people make sure to spend some money on it rather than bitch and whine when the next update is so they can have their imaginary 10 inch cocks.

I can't wait and I hope you're right. There is no other game right now I want to succeed more than this. It scratches and itch or rather shows me one I didn't know I wanted scratched and the creator is an interesting person with a beautiful voice.

That's dlsite, one of the biggest, if not the biggest sites in Japan for distributing nsfw media.
And no it's not just douijnshi, the very first results that appear when I search for the tag don't include doujinshi.
There's definitely some difference, but I don't really buy the argument that people self-insert as the bull that much in netorare doujinshi. I mean look at which character the camera follows, whose thoughts we hear and who we are shown first. The cuck most often resembles the average Japanese male, as opposed to the bulls who are either fat and old (not the kind of person who reads doujinshi the most I imagine), tall, muscular and tanned or a shota/trap with a huge dick.
You may claim you don't self-insert as the cuck, but I won't really take your word for it. For me I like seeing a female character turn crazy from good sex and huge dicks, and one of the best devices to show that is through NTR.
