new version posted in main game thread, 69 poses available for rogue, doreen, elizabeth and now kitty
For those who don't enjoy armpit hair but still want to use the excessive pubic hair option, you can just install the mod and delete the associated arm files that contain the armpit hair and install the rest of the files. For Rogue, Jean, Jubes, Gwen and Emma, the modder already provided variations without armpit hair.
For Kitty, however, this was a problem, as her body sprite contains her armpits. So I edited her files to delete the armpit hair. I did this in 5 minutes on photoshop, so my work is quite sloppy. It probably would've been easier to just copy the chest portion of the original sprite and place it above the modded version, but I couldn't be bothered to unpack the game to find it and then combined the two. I think my version is decent enough, I barely see any difference.
Here are the files. The install instruction is the same as the OP's: place the folder (KittySprite) in game/images/. If you are installing together with the files from OP, remember to delete the armpit and breast files, and overwrite the rest with my version.

Anyone who knows how to edit images can individually tweak the (already modded) character's pics that they want to because the mod is mostly just image folders that replace the vanilla images for a character. Thermogenin's no armpit kitty edit is an example of this though for some of the characters an optional no armpit hair folder is included already.
There are also general install instructions at the bottom of page 5 of this thread if you are having trouble.
Also for anyone wanting to add to the (currently 3 separate modder's work) mod, the characters who don't have a hairier version are Storm, Betsy, and Wanda.
