Most of videos are unavailable for legal reasons. The rest of the videos are not bad on average, but uneven (one scene shows compression artifacts, another is visually indistinguishable from original). Thanks for inserting subtitles and not compressing the audio. These videos are good for previewing and extracting audio/subtitles. Cheers for work and av1/mkv promotion.

It's a personal collection I've done over the year. Id have to relook at them individually. I remember scrutinizing them and my AV1 compressions in the past and being satisfied with the outcome.

I always recommend saving the raw uncompressed files for the best quality.

Rinhee tends to release the unsubbed raw with smi files, then hardsubbed english and korean versions. The hardsubbed versions are compressed, and the size can be as much as 1GB smaller than the original raw.

I realized that for some of my conversions I used the already compressed hardsubbed rinhee files, so Im gonna re-encode them with the higher quality raws. The quality of the AV1 files should look much better as a result. Thanks for the collection, it helped me in that.

Generally, Rinhee releases the raw, with subtitled files. The subtitles can then be applied easily to any player you are using. Allowing you to toggle on and off.

He also releases hardsubbed MP4 files, which have the subtitles on the video itself. They are not removable.

You'd have to look through the thread for a collection. Might be in the OP. If you don't mind a compressed collection:

Updated collection up to 02/2025. AV1 compressed. Space savings per file are usually between 60 to 80% the original file size. So if a file is 800 or 900 MB, with AV1 compression it winds up being 100 or 200 MBs.

MOST files (minus 5 or 6) are MKV. Subtitles can be toggled on or off. The newer ones (late 2024 onwards) include the korean subs as well. Raw files picked from the highest quality available (in this thread). It's missing his first 5 or 6 videos iirc. The ones that were short 30 second loops with no sounds. A few of the vids are the 60FPS versions that bros987 posts. Maybe 1 or 2.

I always like the uncompressed originals, but for anyone interested in space savings it doesn't get any better. The quality is indistinguishable from the originals unless you start pausing and zooming in 500% and staring at pixels.

I'll probably have to put it all in a Zip file since mixdrop has issues when uploading the MKV's individually. And PixelDrain automatically strikes the files down if it detects its a Rinhee file, apparently.

But I'm also re-encoding two videos which were hard subbed and MP4 in my collection. I realized that I used the lower quality MP4's rather than the superior Raw files.

No. The ones released in 2025 are two. Ellen Joe from Zero Zone Zoneless whatever its called, and Formidabble 2. Musashi is older, as is raiden shogun 2. I haven't labelled them by release date. If you want to get a general idea of when things were released, check his patreon.
