Yup. Exhibitionism and sharing and NTR are three very different things, and shouldn't be confused. I get that part of the concept (esp. for the NTR path) is that some of the MC's choices can have unforeseen consequences, but it should be possible for him to e.g. show his partner off to others within the dominance route without it being taken as an invitation to sharing.
It's especially silly on the exhibitionist route. "I'm going to turn my girlfriend into an exhibitionist, but nobody better look at her!"

? Some people enjoy violent games, but they don't enjoy violence in real life. Just the same, the MC enjoys the thrill of exposing his girlfriend, but he doesn't actually want her to be exposed. What is so hard to reconcile about this?

I don't normally like real-porn-images games, but then I played wife trainer and loved it, so I tried this, but felt kinda meh. Maybe it was the heavy use of animated gif that break immersion? Did anyone else feel this way? Or perhaps the choice of animated gifs- ones with jerky-fast-paced movment (yeah I know thats what passes as 'sexy' nowadays)?
I for one agree. As much as I enjoy the gifs, they don't really do anything for me if I can't "full screen" them, something you can't easily do without actual vids

Meh, I've seen *much* longer gaps before people came back with something. Guy posted an update less than a month ago on his patreon, though of course I can't see it behind the paywall.
It says, "Sorry for the delay with the release of the next version, the transition to sandbox mode is taking time to implement and test in detail. I've been waiting to give you an update on the game status until I had something concrete to report, at the moment, a large part of the events are implemented and tested, now I'm working on introducing elements of progress in the game's story."

That is the portion that explains the delay. Everything else is just preference etc. Basically; Not dead but not alive either. Lol
