New Breeding Game Idea

Sounds good, a little something for everyone. Like for example on Breeding Farm the mom issue where the game give you the option of being okay with her sleeping around despite the “budding romance”. Even if you say you’re not okay with it she still does it. But hey, make them the way you want.

Yeah I really don't like NTR, especially the manipulative kind. Makes me sick to my stomach. Open relationships are cool, but the whole NTR thing I really don't like.

If people like it I can add it, but it will be 100% optional and maybe even a toggle at the start of the game.

Okay... I was just about to post a comment asking if anyone might have any idea why my screen / mouse stutters whenever I use 'most' types of creative apps. Including Photoshop, Illustrator and even Godot (The game engine I'm using and why I was going to ask.)

Windows 11, but it's my monitor, not my PC. And it only happens when G-Sync is on...

At least I can turn off G-Sync when developing.

Oh anyone, what was that RPG sandbox game where you were the owner of a mannor, and you would buy and train slaves. Then you could gear them up and travel the land fighting bandits and exploring with a party of your slaves?

I used to play it years ago. It got discontinued and there is now a second one that isn't as good.

I do want to add a system like that where you can train and gear up your monsters and travel and explore.

Maybe only monsters with the intelligent trait, ones that you can have concosations with and romance.

i hate that tag wholeheartedly but i'm also against censorship or content removal in principle, so as long as it's made completely optional and not forced upon any players who don't want to interact with that type of content then i'll be okay with it

Do you mean Strive for Power? AFAIK it wasn't discontinued, just finished. The sequel (Strive: Conquest) is in development right now.

Personally I like SfP a lot better, since it has the whole "train a slave according to order" mechanic. I really liked getting out there, finding a potential slave with a good base, then breaking and training them until they fit the order I accepted.
Sadly the sequel only sometimes has orders like that, and IIRC in the sequel you currently cannot house as many slaves, so that you cannot have many if you take in all of the unique NPCs.

I want to have a system kind of like that. So like a merge between Breeding Season and SfP. With NPC relationship content and story.

I really like the sex mechanic in SfP too, but it might be a bit too complicated to implement.

Note about this
There are cases where is easy to mistake open relationships with netorare/cheating, because one of the partners is emotively involved, but no actual premise of a relationship was established at all.
So basically character A and B hang with each other and have sex, but no one ever talked about a relationship, so while A fawns after B, B is totally oblivious and just sleeps around.

But I do prefer a lot the whole situation of "open relationships everywhere / everyone can just slip in everyone bed", which for obvious reasons works pretty nicely with a breeding game

I don't think it has. I'm just waiting for the day when the first release is out. One of my problems with some first releases is the lack of content. Which is why I tend to wait until the fourth or fifth update to get into things. Cause I don't like spending an hour in a game and then have to wait 3-4 months (if not longer) for more content. But as long as there's a steady stream of updates. I can't stand waiting over two years just for a small update. That bugs me.

I also strongly hate that tag, but I'm a little more pro censorship in terms of how it's applied. For example, a lot of games remove the tag badly by simply removing the scenes but not the hints and implications or anything else. For example, you don't see the things happening, but the targets of that tag get either more distant and their actions of falling for another being explicitly stated or heavily implied.

Instead, I think if the tag is to ve avoided, it should be properly avoided, with all it implies and requires.

I think you should check out the Breeders of the Nephelym game, for it's system of character configuration, with importing and exporting character appearance settings.

And maybe also consider making it more easily moddable, by allowing people to simply import new character styles for new NPCs for existing races. Maybe not from the beginning, but still, eventually.

The first release is usually a decent idea to play in my opinion as you get a feel for the basic gameplay loop and can give feedback for the core component before things potentially go down the hole.

That said I get why many do not like playing the first few versions it can and normally is bare bones.

I am personally a no on NTR especially for this kind of game. NTR implies there was a formal relationship that either the player or another character tramples on. Breeding games are basically forced to either be open relationships or at minimum one sided sexual relationships with emotional fidelity between the two.

With breeding games sex is a job. It is straight out in the open that the character is needing to have sex to make their living. It also is normally a dehumanization of the non-human characters as they are the product. If this isn't the case then either you need to fully commit to the slavery aspect of this concept or you are doing a re-population effort with an emphasis on a large family.

The in-between for having romancable monsters is a class divide where most are nothing more than animals in intelligence but a few "special ones" are intelligent enough to be seen as equals to humans or certain monsters are seen as equal to humans while others (the ones sold) are not.
