This does not seem to work at all. I downloaded the file extracted and ran it. Lines of text do not match the screenshots shown on the front page. very strange as it should be just an extract and run the exe.

Hi! Sorry I've been distracted all through the holidays! Hope you and everybody else here had a fantastic celebration before and across the new year!

As for an update, I'm working on finalizing Chapter 4 right now. I've pulled an all nighter and I'm still plugging away as I type this. This update is WELL overdue so I'm not sleeping until it's DONE!

I hope you all enjoy it once it drops, I personally enjoy making these characters a bit more fuller and fleshier, especially characters like Stephanie who gets a bad rap! She has an emotional moment in this one... maybe enough to strike at the hearts of any Stephanie fans out there!

Just adding audio and some tweaks to Mia's scene at the end of Chapter 4, then it's pretty much a wrap for v0.40 and I'll be ready to release it into the wild!

PHEW! Finally! It's been a random broken keyboard and several lengthy sessions learning how to do thing's I've never done before, but we're finally here! Chapter 4 is Re-Written!

I'm going to CTRL skip through the entire chapter as a "courtesy flush" to make sure no random errors pop up and then I'm going to release it into the wild!

I'll also cobble together some basic patch notes with vague mentions of things that have been changed or added to as well.

Thanks for all the patience, those who have patiently been waiting!

Version 0.40 has passed the skip test, no errors that I can see (code related ones anyway!).

Let me know if any of you spot any dialogue related issues by all means!

For those asking/wondering, it's highly unlikely JokerLeader 's WT mod is compatible with this rewrite. His mod overwrites several chapters and the script.rpy file, so downloading his mod risks undoing Chinwiskers work.

However! JokerLeader also has just a a cheat mod (without the WT) on his Patreon page that should be compatible. It just adds the ability to add/subtract points. It edits variables, not the actual script. So if you're looking to try and grab as much as you can, this is probably the route you'll want to go.

Ah yes! I had quite a lengthy process trying to debug some users crash logs due to unspecified mod use haha! Until I found out it was indeed due to them applying a WT mod or something like that, wish I'd known about that specific problem earlier!

All a learning experience though I suppose! Something I am in dire need of!

And by all means if anybody can rustle up additional mods to apply to this one I think that's fantastic, I had a brief look at how to introduce a Gallery system for replays and such the other day but my coding skills are borderline zero haha, I would need to really learn the basics from the ground up to be able to do the more advanced stuff.

In fact if anybody feels like working on a Gallery mod or making an existing Gallery mod work with this version of the game, feel free to send me the results so I can integrate it with the next build version (ver 0.50)!

I honestly wouldn't know how lol - I'm guessing it would involve downscaling the image files in the games archive.rpa somehow? or converting to a different file format?

EDIT:

I just unpacked all the images from the .rpa file and they total around 3.07gb, they all look pretty well compressed already I think ? (for 1920x1080 resolution images anyway), I guess the only other way to shrink that further is to resize them to a lower resolution?

Certainly am! Not currently at full speed (a lot of interuptions at the moment) but have no fear!

P.S - Out of curiosity, how would you rate the humour so far in the Re-Write? Does it fit the characters do you think? is it too much, too cheesy? I only have my own "sense" of what's humorous to me to go by so I'm genuinely curious to know if it's digestible to the general public lol
