It is theorized that Marianne did in fact get affected. It would be hard to prove since the formulae did not leave a trace in Jane's blood so would not in Marianne's either. But her behavior is sometime strange, like too accommodating and perfect for Jade, as if she is getting molded to be Jade's partner. In this latest update, she is even fine with Jane having intercourse with others while she doesn't allow herself that freedom. If she wasn't affected by the experiment then there is something in Jade's sperm that did not get picked up by the twin's test.

It's a good and interesting theory, but it falls apart easily because from the beginning you can see that Marianne is turned on by her boyfriend showing interest in other women, this is clearly seen in the bar when Jane sits with Peter, Marianne looks upset by the other guy and makes advances on him but then when she sees Peter with Jane she starts to get turned on, this is something that can easily be missed, I had to replay several times to realize it.

So the experiment didn't change Marianne's personality, but I like to think that it's fate that brought them together.

Now that is a great point. I plan to replay the game soon to get the little men but taking the time to replay the bar scene and take note of Marianne's behavior might shed some light on it for me. That would be some superb writing and subtile foreshadowing/replayability enabler (or whatever you want to call that).

While I like the Idea that they are ment for each other too, there is something in the back of my head nagging me about the fact that she would escape from their experiment unscathed. I am not talking about her growing a dick too but something smaller or at least less drastic. It would signal me the potency of their formulae. The other option is that the experiment might have worked as a catalyst for something else that was already there.

On a totally different note. was there a game over screen for chapter 2 and maybe even 1? I got the ones for chapter 3 and 4 but that just gets me wondering about earlier in the game.

you don't even need a patch for the steam version to have the "correct" relationship. as for the mod, no idea, but usually using mods disable achievements in steam games. I never tried a Ren'Py game with mod on steam so someone else should answer that part.

On a totally different note. was there a game over screen for chapter 2 and maybe even 1? I got the ones for chapter 3 and 4 but that just gets me wondering about earlier in the game.

Yeah saw the mention of it being prepatched a little while after I asked, heh.
Still curious about the mod though - you're right that's the case with most games but I'm hopeful since the in-game ones still work with the mod

Just for the first week in my game because MC need money, go for work activity on your PC. Or use the mod and you can do all the activities.

Unless the mod says otherwise, it will typically break your game on Steam. Have tried several Steam games with Scrappy mods and they have all broken my cheevos.
Joker will sometimes make Steam versions of his mods.

There are some passages in the script where the game distinguishes between steam version and patreon version ...

For example on Day 1 after studying at home the option "Look up some porn" seems to be unavailable for steam users, probably because of the real porn images.
(That's not a big loss since most players will likely go to the dorm instead to get the Marianne and Peter scene.)
