The game's pretty and all but it suffers from rather hard story issues really holds it back
I saw a video once and it was the South Park creators talking about what you need for a good story. They said something like "When you have a set of story beats and you can put the words “and then” in-between each one–“you’re fucked.
This games whole story is basically scenes sandwiched between "and then"'s and it really suffers as a result.
So the story is like "you go back to a place and then you meet some people and then you go to the library and meet another girl and then and then you go to a shop and meet another girl and then you go home and then a girl steals your phone and then you go to an art exhibit with some people and then you go to the beach and meet more women
Interesting but too disjointed. Like the dev doesn't want to commit too much to their own story so gives us a few random scenes with forgettable women. The renders are nice, all the girls look pretty and they're all big chested but really they feel all samey. It feels a bit like the type of game that would benefit from a menu I could call back to so I could be reminded who x or y was. The game THROWS women at you initially and some have so little screen time that when you see them again you're left wondering who they are again. On the flip side you have some characters who are interesting then disappear because all the other girls need some time.
The South Park quote goes on to state for an engaging story you need your beats to be separated by "but" or "therefore" and there are interesting beats in there.
"You have a childhood friend but she moves away but you promise to keep in touch but your mom dies therefore you lose contact but years later you see a piece of art you're sure is from her therefore you go to the teacher who ran the exhibit to ask for her help but she wants something in return"
That's an interesting story but it's buried amongst generic AVN get your dick wet fodder. Personally I feel the dev needs to strip out more than half the characters, give the remainder more screen time and actually try to engage with the player as opposed to throwing as many renders at the player as their graphics card can process in the hope one of them will stick.
