Welcome, what all you need to know to understand is suffering from a sickness, which could be liver stone or it could also be his suffering in his success, not wanting to finish the game when he has no need to. I really hope there will be an update, but i won't trust any rumors or confirmations until i fricking see the update downloaded and fully function on my disk...

Everything fine with the reworks but I would love to see more content. This was one of the games where I was just a second away to support him and thanks god I didnt do that. He makes a gread job but damn I wish he would really start to work again on this game.
don't see anything worth wasting time doing it excpet having one more excuse to push an update.
Don't know. But the phrase: "he's with his commissions now" has a morbidly final ring to it, doesn't it?

I mean its actually a solid improvement, I understand people aren't happy with his tardiness and neither am I but you have to give it to him, his art style has in fact improved significantly.
I would say in the past that reworked scenes could be counted as new scenes altogether as a result of how big of an improvement the art style had. For something like this which is just a standing still bust it's not as important but its still an easy way to show overall improvement. If he can sustain this level of quality improvement for animated scenes and possibly a few transitionary still images I'd be completely fine with him going through a few updates that were almost entirely reworked scenes.

would prefer new scenes over reworking old ones... the mom is such a good design and love her scenes the most but i need more!

wow he erases a few lines on the bodies, everyone should give him a round of applauding for that, hope he'll give birth to another kidney baby
I think his lighting and shading have simultaneously gotten better and worse.
I think nobody cares about reworks. After over 2 years and just a mini update in between, the game needs content.

At the end of the day, it's his project and his business BUT I'd still argue that people would be far more forgiving if NEW scenes were added even if old ones aren't up to speed to the new ones' art quality.
I mean, for Pete's sake, the original sprite of David can still be triggered! There's no excuse reworking every single character sprite for him to still leave the old one tied to a trigger.
I'm OK with old assets to still be in the game (look at what dataminers have done with Bloodborne and other games with cut/unfinished content still left behind just inaccessible by normal means) but it undermines the effort of changing every sprite if you can still trigger the old one with no hacks/out of the box means.
