Thank you Buddy, I hope you and yours have a great Christmas and get a nice peaceful & restful break.
Erika is my favorite.
Hello, friends.

First off, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holidays. Around this time of year, we all get that warm and fuzzy feeling deep in our bellies that we don't get at any other time. Perhaps it's the food. To me, it's something I like to call 'Christmas Spirit.'

I want to take this opportunity to say thanks to everybody here. "A Man for Erika" has been in development for years now. We've all come a long way. Now some people might call you names. Filthy pirates. Deplorable degenerates. Scamps and hooligans. Not me though. To me, you're all friends. And that makes you okay in my book. The truth is, this game wouldn't be here without you. So, thank you for giving this game a shot.

And I don't want to just leave you all with warm wishes and a thank you message because that would be off-topic. So, I'll talk a little bit about the next update. My AI writer has cooked-up something special. I'm sure some of you are interested in details and a potential release date for the next episode. Is it soon? Is it far away? Well, I don't want to lie to you about the status of the next update.

Anyway, Merry Christmas again to you all and thanks for playing. I hope you have a good one.

Only what the Dev said a month ago (2 posts before yours). :)
I'll give you a snippet of a more recent Patreon update from January 29th. Other than this, the most recent post was some renders for St Valentine's Day

"There won't be a release in February, so I wanted to get this update out before the end of the month to give you a few days in January to cancel. March is a possibility for a release but I can't say anything this far out. Progress is slow but steady. There isn't much to report on besides me getting through the usual renders. I was sick for a bit this month because it's that time of year around these parts, so that did hinder my workflow, but I did get a decent amount of renders done."

It's been five months since the last update, is there going to be a lot of content this time around as the frequency of updates has been delayed too much from before?

The next episode is going to be a shorter episode. It's a big story episode though, but I'm assuming you want "content" when you're asking about "content."

I was going to write a long-winded post with a bunch of excuses and reasons but it'd be easier to just say that I just have a bunch of distractions, including just being a little lazy from time to time. I do appreciate that there are people who are looking forward to the next update and asking about it. I don't want to leave those of you who care in the dark on what's going on but right now, it's nothing interesting. Just rendering and animating. I am working on it though, and every day we get closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll get it out eventually.

i was thinking u can collaborate with other devs maybe for next project.I was talking with a life worth to living, they meet each other here.It can make your work more easy lol
Collaboration is not as easy as it seems. You have to be very certain that they are someone you can work with. I collaborated with another dev on a game that is here. It was a simple arrangement at first. I take their plot and script the game on Ren'Py and they handle the CG work. However, the work with DAZ 3D consumed much more resources in terms of time and resources so the other dev kept asking for more of a share of the paltry revenues. What's worse, they began changing my scripts and taking over the renpy coding when they didn't think that the story matched their vision. This made working ahead virtually impossible because the one time I tried that they changed the story in a way that made the next story update impossible to have occurred, and I had to rewrite it from scratch. Over time, they kept freezing me out more and more until I asked to be removed from the project entirely. By then I had met my current partner and we began working on our current project. We decided to self-fund our project and release it in a complete form because we are in a financial position to do so. The game I worked on was eventually completed without me, and I got such toxic messages from people who hated what the dev did without me that I deleted my F95 account and joined my partner's account. We changed the handle name and the rest is history. That is pretty much all that I can say about the collaboration, as everything else (including the name of the game) is locked behind a mutually beneficial NDA. Long story short, not all collaborations work out. I still work with a few devs here on the forum but only on a work for hire capacity for editing and proofreading. Whatever they produce, they will need to take all of the cheers and all of the blame for.
