Would you play a game inspired by telltale graphics?

It's not the engine from telltale just inspired by the style with the outlines and kinda realistic hair and eyes. I do know that some people find it off putting but I personally like itfeels off.. but the style and "engine" from tell tale might work
It's certainly not vanilla I might tag you guys when I'm done with it and u can see if u wanna give it a try

Thanks, I think you're right that they are too thick especially in first screenshot I'll play around with the outlines some more.

Something about the hair seems off. I think the fine strands clash with the style. Like in that first pic the lines on his hands are thicker and more defined than the hair on his head.
It is an interesting idea overall. But I think if you're going in this direction why not take it further? Go harder on the lines until it looks almost like a comic book. Maybe something like the graphics from the Borderlands games?

I am a fan of the telltale art but I wouldn't play a game just because the art style resembles it. Pretty pictures doesn't make a good game in the end. You would probably get more responses if people knew what the game was about, that would be the deciding factor I think. Unless someone's kink is telltale graphics, I guess.

It's done by using a skin overlay and outlines on the characters, so I do it manually.

The game will be an inspiration of death note. Mc finds the "desire note", which will allow him to give a girl sexual desires by writing her name into his notebook. There is a catch to that, which I won't spoil in case any of u guys play it eventually.
One thing I'm unsure about is if I should make it a VN or add sandbox mechanics.

Well, it wouldn't be for me personally. It sounds like it could very easily go into the mindless fuckfest territory which I don't find appealing at all. If the MC can make the girls want to fuck buy just her name on a magic note it leaves a lot of room for situations where the sex needs no explanation to why it's happening. There is no reward in it, which some people love, I'm just not one of them.
As for a VN or sandbox, I would play both. But if you do go the sandbox route I would suggest at least making a quest log of sorts. No one likes fumbling around empty rooms hoping something will actually happen.

he's not able to just write their names and fuck them. what he can do is give them sexual thoughts or sexual desire. basically he can give them "intrusive thoughts" like "i wish he would fuck me.". if he writes no specific thoughts, the girl will simply be aroused.

That was my whole point. He can just make them want him, no need to even try winning anyone over at all. It's like a "get wet for the MC" button.
