So i come here for some advise. It will be a 2D VN with NSFW obviously. what sofware should i use? should i start to learn unity ?
should i try to find someone to do the programing or is chatGPT enoth strong to help me to do it ?

also do you have any recommandation on art style ? obviously i will do somethings on my hown style but i draw so many things that i can do manga or comics or realistic and i don't know where to go.

also my story is enoth large to be a scifi or fantasy any recommandation ? I want it to be played by people i already have a job where i do nice stuff but i want to do NSFW ahahah

here is some of the really fast draw i do when i have a bit of time . will probably spend more time on my VN drawing .

If it's just a VN, do us all a favor and use RenPy. It's easy to pick up, and is extremely good at one thing: making a VN.

1st pic for some reason makes me think "dragon ball males in elf drag"

Having your own art style is a unique selling point. As the poster before RenPy is the easiest to learn and execute, you will need to learn a little bit about how things work, but the RenPy community is awesome if you ever need help.

Also you shouldn't ask what do the readers want for YOUR ideas as this can go all over the place real fast. You should craft the story YOU want to tell.

a tip for renpy: avoid any fancy mechanics with it. they're possible but it's where things get 100x more difficult. if you get a 'clever' idea, just say no.

stick to showing images with text and using basic renpy choice boxes, nothing else.

that's where renpy shines, telling simple stories with that minimum funtionality. it's almost just writing your story in renpy like it was a text editor and adding images in between, basically no coding required. and frankly 99% of VNs only use 10% of the expressive power of even that, while drowning and burning out with complications trying to add fancy mechanics they don't need.

Thanks for all the advice!
I think I’m a bit of a non-artist artist—I don’t really believe in the idea that you should only do what you want and listen only to yourself.
Obviously, in the end, I’ll do what I think is best, but I always love to hear and see what others have to say.
Maybe it's because I don't have very strong opinions of my own...
Japanese mangaka have to listen a lot to their managers and audience, yet they've created some of the greatest art of all time.

I started using Ren'Py, and it’s so cool for visual novels! But I clearly can’t make any mini-games with actual gameplay on it.
If I end up working on a project that involves mini-games, I’ll probably use Godot for that, while keeping a full VN in Ren'Py.
(Obviously, I’ll prioritize the full VN because it’s the most likely to be completed.)

Anyway, thanks a lot! If I manage to make anything, I’ll share it here.

Your art style is great, I'd definitely play a game with 2DCG game like this!

Aside from what the others told you (Ren'Py is awesome), here are a few tips I can give if you want to do it seriously (though some of them I don't even follow myself ):
  • Try if possible to start with a short game, not too overly ambitious so you can finish it in a reasonable time frame and have a completed project to show. People will trust you more if they know you can handle a project from start to finish, not mentioning you'd get better at it for your future games
  • Define your game's scope from the start and try not to deviate too much, otherwise there's a risk it keep getting bigger and bigger with any new idea you have and you'd end up feeling overwhelmed
  • Asking people for ideas is OK, but don't take every piece of advice into account. For 15 membres on F95, you'll find 15 different tastes, kinks, etc. and you'll never be able to satisfy them all. Pick what you're most comfortable with and build from there
  • You're going to have haters, and people dunking on your game for whatever reason. Grow a thick skin but don't dismiss any criticism because having a player's perspective (especially someone who gave a low rating and explained why) will make you improve

You are absolutely right about this. The best advice is to start small.
I will create a very small scene with just one action to begin with. This will help me see more clearly what I want and what I can do.

Couple caveats to this statement.

1. Enjoy a challenge. You're making the game you want to make so don't let other people dictate how or what is done.
2. Actually a good developer, not an author or graphic artist that happens to be using renpy because it's the easiest.

Thank you all for your help!
A little update: I started working on a small project called "Special Night."
Here’s the first image featuring two characters.

I’ve simplified my art style a lot to make it easier to create and more readable.
I still have a few more images to make, as well as the music.

It’s a lot of fun!
