For individual images just right-click and save.

Presumably any download assistant add-ons or tools which work for other gallery sites also work there. JDownloader used to be a popular one IIRC.

there are not always torrents, but downloading 1000+ images manually is such a thing. I thought maybe there is an application or script, a program that works well with this site

I've found that JDownloader works for most galleries on exhentai, or at least their equivalents on g.e-hentai.

Not going to link it, but it's easy to find if you google
