How in the five hells do you even download Daiakuji? I can't make this thing work no matter what I try I get this jumble of garbage on launch. I've installed the Japanese Language pack.
EDIT2: Alright, the instructions on how to install the Daiakuji patch is WOEFULLY inadequate. It took me several hours of problem solving to figure it out, so I'm posting actual instructions here (for Windows 10).
The first thing you need to do is install the Japanese language pack and switch your locale to Japanese. This may not be strictly necessary, but I'd do it just to be safe.
Step 1: go to settings, then select date and time
Step 2: go to language, then select add language and choose japanese
Step 3: now, you need to change your system locale. Click region then select "additional date, time and regional settings" near the bottom. Select region again in the new pop up. Then select the administrative tab and choose "Change system locale" and select Japanese. Then restart your PC.
Now your PC can handle Japanese games.
Now download Daiakuji through whatever source you want (this link worked for me:

Now go the Github page for the Daiakuji patch above (this link

) and follow the instructions (which I'll repeat here). You'll need to download the patch and copy paste all of it into the game's folder (including the font), then you'll need to download xsystem35 (

) and drop that into your game folder. Run it and the game should launch patched.
