I'd also call TR uniquely weird and unsettling, though it's not a well-written game.
Ruin Me is great in terms of atmosphere and writing, but it's very queer. You can play it straight, but you will see cuntboys and stuff like that.

It also depends what kind of "unique" atmosphere you are looking for. I could recommend these ones.
A futuristic dystopian soviet union, which is kinda unique. The characters face might not be my taste, but the game is very atmospheric.
