Hello all,

I am an indie developer and artist who is building out a portfolio of work, both in terms of developing my skillset and creating interesting games, mostly of the visual and kinetic novel form. As part of that journey, I'm also offering my skills in 3D art to help teams get from story and concept to production. The story is the main thing with me. I work in a lot of different genres, ranging from hard science fiction, fantasy, noir, magical realism, and others. SFW and NSFW are equally okay, with few limitations. I generally am not interesting in anime style, preferring more photoreal art and character design. Since this is an unpaid gig, whether we work together has a lot to do with whether the story is something that is interesting to me. For this reason, I prefer to work with developers and teams who already have a solid story concept, or a good starting script written ahead of time.

Skills:

I have a lot of experience with 3D photoreal art, specifically high-quality stills. I am equally adept at creating backgrounds, environments, characters, and expressive story telling through still images. I don't have a lot of experience with complex animation, though that is something I want to develop.

In terms of software, I primarily work in Daz Studio, and have experience developing in Ren'Py, with a heavy Python developer background. I have fairly hefty compute resources available to me, so large and complex scenes are not a problem. I also have a large library of Daz assets that I own, so I can put together your scenes and character designs quickly. I also have a local iRayServer render setup for fast render turnaround.

Preferred method of contact:

@sidcarton1588 at Discord. If you PM me here, likely to be slower to respond since I don't check this as often.

Employment Type & Rates:

At this point I'm looking to do unpaid work to build out my portfolio and body of work, as I figure out what I can realistically provide in terms of turnaround and service types for other developers. Depending on the quantity of renders and complexity of scenes, we can work out a pricing scheme to cover my costs if that becomes necessary.

Availability:
I have a regular day job and other commitments, so for me this is a passion and a hobby that I devote available free time to. I am usually contactable in the evenings EST.
